- MIT Election Data and Science Lab, County Presidential Election Returns 2000–2024 (CC0): MEDSL county returns, votes for neither major-party candidate / all votes.
- Read through electiondata.dev, dataset county-president, version 2026-10-26.a942e8daa5; its 1 input files from the MIT Election Data and Science Lab are named with their sha256 in this page's data, and the site's checks recompute every figure from them.
- The margin is the Republican candidate's votes minus the Democratic candidate's, as a share of every presidential vote cast in the county, third parties and write-ins included. A state is the sum of every reporting unit MEDSL lists in it, so Alaska (which reports by state house district, not county) has a state figure but no county figures, and Connecticut's former counties count toward the state. The changes compare with the elections 4, 8 and 12 years before. MEDSL's file is served by Harvard Dataverse after a short form, so the site's checks read a copy whose MD5 Dataverse publishes.
- Every four years, when MEDSL publishes the certified county returns.
